Who Are We?

Saco River Jazz is primarily an adult big band, seasoned adults keeping our chops up or getting our chops back, and older players with a long history in big band music, all participating in this wonderful way of sharing our music-making with each other, while giving back to our community. Each year the band includes several talented young players, some who are new to big band music who want more experience, and some who already have a ton of experience. Saco River Jazz is a non-profit, all-volunteer big band, playing jazz standards around the local communities of Southern Maine.
